日本の美大で人を感動させるデザインとは何かを追求する中で、世界を精巧にデザインした聖書の神に出会う！出版社や放送局などモノゴトの伝達産業で活躍した後に、新たなエキスペリエンスを求めてオーストラリアへと飛び立つ。広大な大地をオンボロの車で周りながら、農業や鮮魚の配達、皿洗いなどワーキングホリデーならではのライフスタイルと突飛な出会いを楽しむ。まもなく帰国という時期に…日本語堪能なオーストラリア女性との出会いを果たし国際結婚へと導かれる。その後、永住者として西洋文化や英語を体得しながら、ローカルの会社でクリエイティブデザイナーとして活躍。その傍ら、Sydney Missionary & Bible Collegeで世界のベストセラーであるバイブルを専門的に学ぶ機会も得る。2022年には拠点をメルボルンに移し、神の愛に生かされる喜びを一緒に経験できるコミュニティを発足させる。

趣味は新しい出会い、音楽、写真、温泉、ウォーキング、お遊びのバドミントン。5歳になる娘の子育てに奮闘中！クローズネスト日本人キリスト教会 (吹留弘充牧師)、シドニー日本語福音教会(グラハム・スミス牧師)出身。

While pursuing what design can do to make people happy at an art college in Japan, he met the amazing creator, God who designed the world. Seeking further life experience, he decided to go on a working holiday in Australia. While driving an old Commodore wagon around the vast countryside, he had a series of firsts, including farming, delivering seafood and washing dishes in the busy cafes. Also, he met his wife, Katie who speaks fluent Japanese. They have a beautiful daughter, Selah.

In 2022, his family moved to Melbourne to launch a community where people can experience the joy of living in the love of Jesus together with CrossCulture. Takeshi enjoys meeting new people, music, photography, onsen spa and bushwalking. He graduated from Sydney Missionary & Bible College. They are former members of Sydney Japanese Evangelical Church (Rev. Grahame Smith) and Crows Nest Japanese Christian Church (Pastor Hiromitsu Hiidome).

Greg & Shireen Seymour

Hometown: Perth & Melbourne, Australia

グレッグは大学卒業後、弁護士として情熱的に働いていたものの、いつか東京で日本語を勉強してみたいという夢を叶えるため、ついに日本へと飛び立つ！そこで目にしたのは日本人にジーザスの愛を熱心に伝えるミッショナリーたちの姿だった。これに感銘を受けたグレッグはトレーニングを受けるためにオーストラリア帰国を決意する…

マレーシア生まれのシャリーンは幼い頃に家族と一緒にメルボルンに移住する。大学では歴史を専攻したが、ひょんなことから日本の奈良で英語を教えることに。その後、メルボルンに戻った折に、日本をこよなく愛するグレッグと出会い、二人はたちまち意気投合して結婚へと導かれる。その後、10年間を北海道で過ごし３人の子どもにも恵まれる (ジェームス、テモテ、エレノア)。二人はプロテスタント派の宣教団体であるOMF Internationalに所属し、ジーザスの愛を伝えるべく多方面で活躍中。

After graduating and working as a lawyer in Perth, Greg followed his dream to study Japanese in Tokyo. Excited by meeting Christian Missionaries there, Greg decided to return to Australia to attend a missionary training college in Melbourne, the city where he would later meet his wife Shireen.

Shireen was born in Malaysia but grew up in Australia, studying history and later spending some time teaching English in Japan. With their joint love for Japan, Greg and Shireen got together and then spent the next 10 years in Hokkaido, welcoming along the way James, Timothy and Eleanor. Greg and Shireen are members of OMF International, and are currently living in Melbourne, where they are focused on sharing the good news about Jesus with local and visiting Japanese people.
