Updated 18 March 2020
Thing are moving rapidly in relation to our expert advice and government decrees, so from now on we are moving Sunday Services to online only. This means that there will be no services at church for members and the public to attend. We encourage everyone to join the livestream in English at 10am or Mandarin at 10.45am. If you know of people who don’t have the internet or who are on their own, please let us know or contact them to enable them to join with you or others nearby who can host them. If you or they are unwell, please don’t gather.
Life group meetings will continue and will be the life-blood of our church for the coming months, although some groups may choose to change the way they meet. We encourage all life groups to discuss how they will proceed, with several groups already considering the use of technology to meet virtually. Of course some individuals might choose to self-isolate, and we would support any such decisions. If you are unwell, please don’t attend the meeting. For more information, please contact our Life Group ministry team or Pastor Devin.
AGM is postponed until a date to be advised.
Most ministries and events are suspended unless they can go digital. Please check with your ministry leader for more information.
Please pray for those suffering as a result of this outbreak – for God’s peace and comfort. Pray for us to be a source of strength and help to those around us in these changing times. May we all know more of our unchanging God and his grace in these turbulent times.
We are putting in place a plan for pastoral care for those who feel isolated. Please let us know of people who need extra care.
Times like these provide opportunities to care for our neighbours and those in our local community. Please consider how you might serve others, but also be in prayer for our church and our wider community, along with our government leaders who need great wisdom at this unprecedented time
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear. (Psalm 46:1,2a)
