How can we help you?

We have all been affected by the Covid-19 lockdown. Working from home, limited supplies in shops and not being able to meet our loved ones. These are strange and difficult times. But because of circumstances, some are finding it much harder than most.

Migrant workers who can’t receive government assistance
International students who have lost your job and do not have support
Asylum seekers & refugees who are struggling to make ends meet
Elderly, with a chronic disease or disabled; and everyone else that needs help

Our church community is here to help.

Our Chapel will be open between 12.30-2.30pm every Sunday to help anyone in need! We are located across from the State Library on 333 Swanston Street (corner of Lt. Lonsdale).

We want to do what we can to help you in this time of need. There will be frozen cooked meals and essential items for you to take, as well as people to talk with. So, if you need support, please come to CrossCulture on Sunday afternoons. If you know anyone in need, please let them know and help us spread the word.

How can you help?

Thank you for your generosity. Here are ways you can help:

Drop-off your donations

All your donations will be used to purchase grocery items for the food relief centre. You can drop-off your donations on Sundays during opening hours at the Chapel.

Pantry drop-off list:

  • White Rice (1kg)

Thanks for your generous donations. We currently have enough of the following items: bread, soup powder, large fruit juice and canned drinks.

Give directly

Your donations will be used to purchase essential items and cook meals for those in need. If you wish to donate money, you can give to Assist.

All monetary donations made to CrossCulture Assist can be tax-deductible.

Spread the word

If you know someone who needs assistance, let them know about us. If they are unable to come on Sundays, you can help with pick-up and delivery on their behalf.

Contribute your time

Your response has been overwhelming. Thank you so much for everyone who is willing to volunteer your time. At this time, we currently have enough volunteers. We may make further announcements when we do need volunteers! Once again, a huge thank you!
