“I have found that petty disappointments tend to accumulate over time, undermining my faith with a lava flow of doubt. I start to wonder whether God cares about everyday details — about me. I am tempted to pray less often, having concluded in advance that it won’t matter. Or will it? My emotions and my faith waver. Once those doubts seep in, I am even less prepared for times of major crisis.” (From the book Disappointment with God by Philip Yancey)

God is the solution for our disappointments. He is the only one who can heal us. Jesus experienced much disappointment with His disciples and with the people of Israel. He knows how we feel and understands our hurt. Let’s always remember to go to Him, lean on Him, and keep trusting Him who sees heaven and knows our future.
